The S.T.A.R. Project is located on the UNCG campus at The Family Research Center.
The Family Research Center(FRC) is a small white house located at 536 Highland Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27403

Coming from Spring Garden and Aycock:

Enter UNCG’s campus on Spring Garden St.. Follow Spring Garden through campus to Highland Avenue. (If you reach Tate Street, you’ve gone too far.) Turn right at the light onto Highland Avenue. You will go up a small hill and see the Family Research Center on your right. Turn right into the parking lot entrance just before the house. Circle around the back of the house and park in the reserved parking spot beside the house.

Coming from West Market or Friendly Ave.:

Follow West Market or W. Friendly Ave. to Tate Street. Turn right onto Tate St. from West Market and left onto Tate St. from Friendly Ave. Follow Tate Street onto the UNCG campus and go past Spring Garden St. Turn right onto Oakland Ave. Go one block and you will see Highland Ave. on your right. Continue on Oakland Ave. a few more feet and then turn right into the parking lot. The Family Research Center is the small white house straight ahead. Park in the reserved parking spot just beside the house (the parking spot will be on the side you are facing).

Coming from Lee St.:

Turn right onto Tate Street from East Lee and left onto Tate St. from West Lee St. Make first left onto Oakland Ave..  Go one block and you will see Highland Ave. on your right. Continue on Oakland Ave. a few more feet and then turn right into the parking lot. The Family Research Center is the small white house straight ahead. Park in the reserved parking spot just beside the house (the parking spot will be on the side you are facing).

Parking

There is a reserved parking spot for you to park in when you come and visit us. The parking spot is located on the side of the house (it will be the left side if you are facing the front of the house; it will be the right side if you are facing the back of the house). The parking spot is labeled with a sign that says “RESERVED: Family Research Center – others towed” on the side of the house. (You will be facing Highland Avenue.) You can park in this spot and follow the small stone steps to come inside.

Oakland Avenue is closed between Forest Street and
Kenilworth Street due to construction.
Make sure if you use GPS to reach campus you follow the directions above to reach the FRC. The directions above will help you to avoid construction.
