Interested in graduate school?  Want some research experience to strengthen your resume?

We are looking for energetic, responsible students to join our team!

Research Experience

Research experience is very important for students who wish to continue their studies in graduate school. Having research experience will set you apart from other applicants. Also, you will learn many important skills by working in a research lab. These skills are beneficial not only at grad school but also in the workforce.

About our lab

The S.T.A.R. Project is a longitudinal research study focused on learning more about how children’s early emotional, cognitive and social skills helps them to succeed in school.  The study is headed by Dr. Esther Leerkes , Dr. Susan Calkins,  and Dr. Marion O’Brien at UNCG.  During our lab visits we play a variety of games while collecting heart rate and brainwave measures.  We started our preschool visits in Spring 2013.

Responsibilities and Time Commitment

The S.T.A.R. project offers a variety of opportunities for undergraduates.  Undergraduates will assist with data collection, recruitment methods and data management.  We offer 2 or 3 credits for this course.
