Welcome to the S.T.A.R. (School Transitions and Academic Readiness) Project at UNCG.  This research project is located in the Family Research Center (FRC) and is affiliated with the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. The S.T.A.R. Project is interested in learning more about early school success.  As you know, school requires social as well as academic skills.  This study looks at how the development of children’s  emotional, cognitive and social skills helps them to succeed in school.
